Türkiye-EU Summit
Türkiye-EU Summit was held in Brussels today. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu represented Türkiye at the Summit. Minister for EU Affairs Volkan Bozkır and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied the Prime Minister at the Summit. Prime Minister Davutoğlu joined Heads of State/Government of 28 Members of the EU as well as Presidents of the European Council, European Parliament and European Commission.
Multiple aspects of Türkiye-EU relations have been dicussed by the leaders at the Summit. Accession negotiations, visa liberalisation & upgrading of the customs union have been covered at the Summit. Cooperation on and EU financial support for Syrians under temporary protection in Türkiye, irregular migration and fight against terrorism have also been on the agenda of the leaders.
