Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır attended EU's Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs in Luxembourg

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır paid a visit to Luxembourg to attend the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs hosted by the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU on 23-24 July 2015.

During the meeting attended by the ministers in charge of European affairs of the EU member states and candidate countries, the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU presented its priorities for the second half of 2015 regarding the issues on the agenda of the EU. Participant Ministers exchanged views on the priorities of the Presidency.

At the meeting, Minister Bozkır expressed Türkiye’s views and expectations concerning the humanitarian impacts of the Syrian crisis, the terror threat in our region and the bomb attack in Suruç, to his counterparts from EU countries. 

Minister Bozkır met with his counterparts from EU countries at the dinner hosted by the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU on the occasion of the ministerial meeting.

In Luxembourg, Minister Bozkır also met with Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic, Minister for European Integration and Chief Negotiator of Montenegro. Two Ministers exchanged views on EU accession processes of Türkiye and Montenegro.
