Gender Mainstreaming Project Closing Event and Iftar Dinner

The closing event and the iftar dinner for the project "Technical Assistance for Assisting to Türkiye to Mainstreaming Gender Equality in the Actions Funded Under EU-Türkiye Financial Cooperation for IPA II" which our Ministry is the beneficiary of was held on 1 July 2015, in Mövenpick Hotel.

Following the opening remarks made by the Ministry for EU Affairs Financial Cooperation Director Ms. Beyza Turan, the stakeholders shared their assessment of the project. The event was attended by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, the European Union Delegation to Türkiye and the other stakeholder institutions of the project. Mr. Ahmet YÜCEL, Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of EU Affairs made the main theme speech on the importance of Gender Mainstreaming for Türkiye.

The project aimed at developing gender-sensitive tools for the programming, monitoring and evaluation cycle and the training of the project implementing staff. Within the project 265 people received 3 days of training on gender equality.
