Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır visited Latvia

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır, paid a visit to Riga, Latvia on 27-28 May 2015 on the invitation of the Latvian Presidency of the EU.

During his visit, Minister Bozkır was received by Inara Murniece, Speaker of the Latvian Parliament. Minister Bozkır  received the Delegation of the Serbian EU Ministry in Riga.

Finally, Minister Bozkır attended the working lunch hosted in his honour by Andrejs Pildegovics, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Latvia.

At Minister Bozkır’s meetings in Riga, Türkiye-EU relations and Türkiye's accession negotiations as well as Türkiye's bilateral relations with Latvia and Serbia were addressed.

The Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the Union (COELA) Meeting in Riga where Minister Bozkır was scheduled to deliver a speech was postponed since delegations could not arrive in Latvia due to technical problems at Brussels Airport.
