Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Latvia and His Participation in the Meeting of Working Party on Enlargement of the Council of the EU
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay a visit to Riga, Latvia on 27-28 May 2015 on the invitation of the Latvian Presidency of the EU.
During his visit to Riga, Minister Bozkır will participate and deliver a speech in the meeting of the Council of the EU’s Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the EU (COELA) where the enlargement policy of the EU is addressed by member states.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Bozkır will also be received by Inara Murniece, Speaker of the Latvian Parliament.
Minister Bozkır will also meet with Tanja Miscevic, Chief Negotiator for Serbia’s accession negotiations with the EU and Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, State Secretary and Chief Negotiator for negotiations on Montenegro’s accession to the European Union. Minister Bozkır will also attend a working lunch to be hosted in his honour by Andrejs Pildegovics, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
At Minister Bozkır’s meetings in Riga, Türkiye-EU relations and Türkiye's accession negotiations as well as Türkiye's bilateral relations with Latvia, Serbia and Montenegro will be addressed.
