Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Brussels

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır visited Brussels on 17-18 May 2015 to attend the 53^rd Türkiye-EU Association Council Meeting and for official meetings with members of the European Commission.

During his visit to Brussels, Minister Bozkır, along with Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, came together with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission and Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations at a working dinner.

Within the scope of his visit to Brussels, Minister Bozkır also attended the 53^rd meeting of Türkiye-EU Association Council, which is the highest level body in the association relationship between Türkiye and EU. (For detailed information: http://www.ab.gov.tr/index.php?p=49975&l=2)

In Brussels, Minister Bozkır also held separate meetings with Jyrki Katainen, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, and Dimitris Avramopoulos, Member of the European Commission for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship.

During the 53rd meeting of the Association Council and at Minister Bozkır's other meetings with members of the European Commission Türkiye-EU relations were comprehensively addressed.
