The Ministry for EU Affairs is celebrating 9 May Europe Day in cooperation with the Delegation of the EU to Türkiye in Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir and Antalya

The Ministry for EU Affairs celebrated 9 May Europe Day in cooperation with the Delegation of the EU to Türkiye with diverse activities in Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir and Antalya. Within the scope of 9 May Europe Day, experts from Ministry for EU Affairs informed the citizens on Turkish EU accession process.

H.E. Ambassador Volkan Bozkır, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator participated to a conference organized by Economic Development Foundation (İKV) on 9th May Europe Day to commemorate its 50 years with the participation of H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye. Minister Bozkır held a speech during the conference and celebrated İKV’s 50^th anniversary and 9 May Europe Day.

Ministry for EU Affairs, celebrated 9 May Europe Day with the stands opened at Seğmenler Parc in Ankara, Kadıköy Pier Square in İstanbul, Union of Chamber of Tradesman and Craftsman in İzmir and Cumhuriyet Square in Antalya with the participation of citizens. While wide variety of documents on the EU issues and Türkiye’s accession process were being distributed visitors were informed on the EU issues and accession process.

Along with the events in Seğmenler Parc in Ankara, within the framework of 9 May Europe Day activities, Ministry for EU Affairs and Turkish Jockey Club organized “Ministry for EU Affairs Race Trophy" at Ankara Race Track on May 9, 2015. The owner of the winner horse, “Tatvan İncisi”, Hikmet Kızılca received the cup from the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs, Ahmet Yücel.
