Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır Visited Rome
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır paid an official visit to Rome, Italy on 25-27 March 2015.
During his visit, Minister Bozkır met with Paolo Gentiloni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Lapo Pistelli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and Sandro Gozi, Secretary of State for EU Affairs.
Minister Bozkır addressed the Italian Chamber of Deputies’ Political Committee on the European Union and the Italian Senate Committee on the EU Policies; and delivered a speech at a seminar held by the Institute of International Affairs (IAI), one of the leading think-tanks of Italy.
Minister Bozkır also met with Enrico Rossi, President of Tuscany Region; Dario Nardella, Mayor of Florence; and with Andrea Manciulli, President of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Minister Bozkır also attended the dinner given in his honor by Dario Nardella, Mayor of Florence.
Within the scope of his visit to Italy, Minister Bozkır also met with the presidents of the transnational organization, “Türkiye in Europe Now”.
During his visit to Italy, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır exchanged views on Türkiye's EU negotiation process and on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Italy.
