Türkiye-EU Innovation Subcommittee No:5 was held in Brussels

The 12th meeting of Türkiye-EU Innovation Subcommittee No:5 was held in Brussels on 26 March 2015, co-chaired by Ministry for EU Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Mr. Ahmet Yücel and Director of DG NEAR — Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Mr. Simon MORDUE.

Subcommittees which are significant instruments of the negotiation process have been restructured to ensure a more efficient and result oriented approach.

Within this framework, developments in the EU and Türkiye concerning chapter 10-Information Society, Chapter 25-Science and Research, Chapter26-Education and Culture chapters were discussed with a focus on legal alignment, administrative capacity and enforcement.

Furthermore, technical closing benchmarks of Information Society and Media Chapter which has been open for negotiations on 19th December 2008 evaluated.
