Ministry for EU Affairs Inaugurated the Opening of Its Third Office in Izmir

On 19 February 2015, Ministry for EU Affairs inaugurated the opening of its İzmir Office, the third one following the opening of the Istanbul and Antalya Offices, with the participation of Volkan Bozkır, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator.

The Office will serve as a guide for the harmonization of the EU acquis at local level and for the sound and effective implementation of the legislation; and work for the production of projects that can evaluate the historical, cultural and geographical wealth of Izmir in terms of the EU accession perspective, and to benefit from the opportunities the EU accession process provides at local level.

Izmir Office will be in close cooperation with the NGOs, municipalities, and public institutions in all the EU related activities to be carried out at local level, including an effective usage of the financial assistance.
