The Framework Agreement between the Republic of Türkiye and the European Commission regarding the second period of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance is signed.

Regarding the utilization of the grant amounting to EUR 4.5 Billion allocated in the second period (2014-2020) of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance which we have been benefitting in the context of financial cooperation established between Türkiye and EU;

“Framework Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the European Commission on the Arrangements for Implementation of Union Financial Assistance to the Republic of Türkiye under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II)” signed by Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs, National IPA Coordinator (NIPAC),  Ambassador Rauf Engin Soysal.

After the Agreement’s entry into force, assistance that we have been benefiting since 2007 under IPA framework will continue to be utilized in the 2014-2020 period. The fund of EUR 4.5 billion allocated to Türkiye is going to be utilized in the process of Türkiye’s European Union accession process through financing the programs and projects in the areas of environment, innovation, transport, employment, social policy and development of human resources, energy, home affairs, judiciary and fundamental rights, civil society as well as agriculture and rural development.
