The Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in Rural Development (IPARD) Programme-2014/2020 for Türkiye” has been approved by the European Commission

As a part of the funds allocated by the European Union (EU) for Türkiye, along with the other candidate countries, grant aid is provided for the use of the producers operating in agricultural, food and livestock sectors by means of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in Rural Development (IPARD).

Within the scope of the current IPARD Programme (2007-2013), the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (ARDSI), functioning as the IPARD Agency in Türkiye, has granted to farmers, food operators and rural dwellers from %50 up to %65 of total eligible expenditure incurred by their investments.

Being prepared by the contribution of the relevant public institutions and the NGOs in the coordination of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, the new IPARD Programme for the financial period between 2014 and 2020, which will be implemented subsequent to the completion of the current Programme, was submitted to the European Commission by the Ministry for EU Affairs. The IPARD Programme (2014-2020) for Türkiye was officially approved by the European Commission on 27 January 2015.

As is the case with the current Programme, grant aid in various rates will be provided within the scope of the new Programme as well for the use of producers or entrepreneurs investing in agricultural, food and livestock sectors, along with of those investing in rural areas in various sectors, such as rural tourism, aquaculture, production of local products and so on. Besides, the measures regarding the environment-friendly agricultural production and the local action groups operating in rural areas are expected to be implemented. Within the frame of the IPARD Programme (2014-2020), more than 1 billion Euros consisting of 800 million Euros of EU contribution and 245 million Euros of Türkiye’s contribution will be granted for the use of the citizens of Türkiye.
