Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır Visited Madrid

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır paid an official visit to Madrid on 27-28 January 2015.

During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır met with the President of the Spanish Senate Pio Garcia-Escudero, and with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo at a working luncheon on 27 January 2015. 

On 28 January 2015, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır addressed the businessmen at the Confederation of Employers and Industries in Spain (CEOE), and attended the working luncheon at the Elcano Royal Institute, one of the leading think-tanks of Spain, and addressed academics, businessmen and high-level officials here. During his visit to Madrid, Minister Bozkır also gave interviews to the Spanish press. 

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır also attended a dinner at the Turkish Embassy in Madrid and met with Spanish politicians, senior government officials and businessmen.

During his visit to Madrid, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır exchanged views on Türkiye-EU relations with a focus on Türkiye's EU accession process as well as on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Spain.
