Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır Accompanied Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to the World Economic Forum

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır accompanied Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to the 45th meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek, and Deputy Chairman of AK Party Beşir Atalay also accompanied Prime Minister Davutoğlu in the Forum held in Davos, Switzerland.

Prime Minister Davutoğlu, who addressed participants at the “Türkiye’s Vision for the G20” session held on the first day of the Forum, also made the closing speech of the “Borsa İstanbul: “Why Invest in Türkiye? Why Invest in Borsa İstanbul?” session. 

On this day, Prime Minister Davutoğlu met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Austrian Deputy Prime Minister Reinhold Mitterlehner, and later attended a dinner with prominent figures from the Arab world influential on public opinion.

On the second day of the Forum, Prime Minister Davutoğlu made a speech at the session titled “Advancing G20 Agenda” and met with Finish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır, who accompanied Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to the Forum, was one of the keynote speakers at the session titled “The Europe Outlook” along with President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer, Vice President of the European Commission  and former Prime Minister of Finland Jyrki Katainen, Polish Minister of Finance Mateusz Szczurek, Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Pietro Carlo Padoan, and Vice President of the European Commission and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands Frans Timmermans.

On the last day of the Forum Minister Bozkır delivered a speech at the session titled “Forum Debate: A Multipolar World?” Later that day, Minister Bozkır accompanied Prime Minister Davutoğlu to a meeting with representatives of the Turkish community in Zurich, Switzerland.
