Türkiye’s National Action Plan for the EU Accession (Phase-II) has been announced by Minister Bozkır
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır held a press conference announcing Türkiye’s National Action Plan for the EU Accession (Phase-II) to the public on 1 December 2014. The Action Plan has been prepared in the context of “Türkiye’s New European Union Strategy”. This is the second phase of the two-phase Action Plan including primary legislation, secondary legislation, institution building and other relevant work for aligning with the EU legislation for the June 2015-June 2019 period.
Minister Bozkır, underlined that the National Acton Plan is a roadmap laying down Türkiye’s priorities on political reforms and socio-economic transformation within the context of the EU accession process. Minister stated that National Action Plan is an important instrument for undertaking the necessary work on negotiation chapters so that Türkiye would be ready to open and close chapters when political blockages are removed.
