Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Sweden

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır paid a visit to Stockholm on 27-28 November 2014 for official meetings.

On the first day of his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır met with Urban Ahlin, Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Riksdag; Margot Wallström, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Hans Dahlgren, State Secretary for Foreign and EU Affairs.

Minister Bozkır participated in the joint meeting held by the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Committee on EU Affairs of the Swedish Parliament Riksdag, and delivered a speech at  the meeting and answered the questions of the members of the Committees.

Minister Bozkır also attended the working lunchehon given in his honour by Foreign Minister Margot Wallström.

On the second day of his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır met with Mehmet Kaplan, Minister for Housing and Urban Development of Sweden, and gave interviews to the Swedish media.

At the end of his official visit to Stockholm, Minister Bozkır got together with Carl Bildt, former Premier and Foreign Minister of Sweden.

During his visit to Stockholm, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır exchanged views on Türkiye-EU relations with a focus on Türkiye's EU accession process as well as on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Sweden.
