Protocol between our Ministry and Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology was signed
As well known, EU Accession is a state policy of Republic of Türkiye more than half a century, become the utmost important part of Türkiye’s vision that defends and embraces universal values.
Accelerated EU Accession Process owing to the support of our government, brought along significant reforms that enhance welfare and life standards of our citizens. In this regard, to achieve the target of “Socio-Economic Transformation in the Accession Process” under “Türkiye’s New European Union Strategy”, boosting the competitiveness of Turkish industry is the utmost importance. For an industry with a high value added, in EU standards and have a strong R&D infrastructure, cooperation between both of the ministries that are responsible for EU Affairs and science, industry and technology policies is very crucial.
In this regard, Volkan Bozkır, Ambassador, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, and Fikri Işık Minister of Science, Industry and Technology today got together to take a step forward to strengthen cooperation, and signed the “Protocol on Common Position and Cooperation in Türkiye's EU Accession Process between Ministry for European Union Affairs and Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology”.
