EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır’s intensive two day contacts in Brussels have concluded. Having presented the new EU Strategy of Türkiye early on Thursday, Minister Bozkır started his daily meetings program with EU Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva responsible for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. Later on Minister Bozkır came together with Turkish press members for the presentation of the new strategy.

Following the press meeting, Minister Bozkıır met with Stefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and EU Neighbourhood Policy. The program continued by meeting with Didier Reynders, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belgium.

First day of the Minister’s program finalized by meetings with Andris Piebalgs, EU Commissioner for Development and Michel Lebrun, Chairman of the EU Committee of the Regions.

After his meetings with the EU Officials, Minister Bozkır came together with Türkiye originated CSO representatives.

At the meetings EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır highlighted the main aspects of the new strategy and stressed the importance Türkiye puts on the EU process.

Minister Bozkır's second day program began with the EU Commissioner for Regional and Urban Policy and prospective Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn. Following Hahn, Minister Bozkır came together with Günther Oettinger, the EU Commissioner for Energy. EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır's Brussels program has concluded by a meeting with Marc Pierini, former Head of Delegation of EU to Türkiye.
