The opening ceremony of the “Civic Training for Mehmetçik Project” was hosted by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff Full General Yaşar GÜLER and with the participation of Acting Undersecretary of Ministry for EU Affairs, Ahmet YÜCEL,

The opening ceremony of the “Civic Training for Mehmetçik Project” was hosted by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff Full General Yaşar GÜLER and with the participation of Acting Undersecretary of Ministry for EU Affairs, Ahmet YÜCEL, European Union Ambassador and the Head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye Stefano MANSERVISI and UN Resident Coordinator Kamal MALHOTRA.

Acting Undersecretary of Ministry for EU Affairs, Ahmet YÜCEL delivered a speech at the ceremony held at Gazi Orduevi as well during which he highlighted the significance of this first EU funded project carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces with regard to ensuring the ownership, awareness and ultimately the inclusion of all segments of the society in the EU membership process.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff Full General Yaşar GÜLER, Senior Programme Officer Major General Taner DÜVENCİ and representatives of other relevant institutions also spoke at the ceremony.
