Joint Working Group meeting of the Bulgaria-Türkiye IPA Cross-Border Programme was conducted

Second meeting of “Joint Working Group”, which is established for the 2014-2020 programming period of Bulgaria-Türkiye IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme where Türkiye acts as the National Authority, was held on 13 May 2014 in Ankara. The meeting was co-chaired by Ms. Beyza Turan, Director of Financial Cooperation Directorate, together with Bulgarian Managing Authority. Representative of European Commission also attended the meeting.

Representatives from the Ministry for European Union Affairs, Ministry of Development of Türkiye, representatives of Kırklareli and Edirne governorships and municipalities and development agency attended the meeting from Turkish side. Representatives of some ministries along with the Ministry of Regional Development of Bulgaria as the Managing Authority, local authorities from Haskovo, Yambol and Bourgas, several non-governmental organizations also attended the meeting from Bulgarian side.

In the meeting participants are acknowledged by the presentations about the latest developments of IPA II Legal framework. And after the presentations regarding the 2014-2020 programming period, participants exchanged their ideas for the priority areas in new programming period.
