Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Visits Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid an official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on April 11-12, 2014. Within the scope of his visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu was first received by Derviş Eroğlu, President of TRNC.
Afterwards, Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by Sibel Siber, President of the Assembly for the TRNC.
Bakan Çavuşoğlu was then received by Prime Minister of TRNC, Özkan Yorgancıoğlu.
Bakan Çavuşoğlu met with Özdil Nami, Minister of Foreign Affairs of TRNC.
Within the context of his TRNC visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Hüseyin Özgürgün, Chairman of the National Unity Party.
Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Chairman of the the Democrat Party-National Forces Serdar Denktaş.
Afterwards, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with the Cemal Özyiğit, Chairman of the Communal Democracy Party.
Minister Çavuşoğlu also came together with members of the Cyprus Turkish Businessmen Association in Nicosia and attended the official dinner organized by Özkan Yorgancıoğlu, the Prime Minister of TRNC, in his honour.
On the second day of his visit to TRNC, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the conference titled “Towards a Solution in Cyprus” organized by the Near East University and delivered a speech.
After the conference, Minister Çavuşoğlu received the delegation from the TRNC Representation Office of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) and the delegation from the TRNC Chamber of Industry.
