Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Visits Brussels
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his official visit to Brussels on January 21, 2014. Minister Çavuşoğlu continued his official meetings in Brussels on January 22, 2014. After the working breakfast with the European Parliament Chair of the AFET Committee, Elmar Brok; Çavuşoğlu met with the members of the European Parliament, İsmail Ertuğ, Emine Bozkurt, Metin Kazak and Filiz Hüsmenova.
Minister Çavuşoğlu met with the Chairman of the Group of Friends of Türkiye in the European Parliament, Alojz Peterle; and Chairman of the ALDE Group, Guy Verhofstadt. After these meetings Çavuşoğlu came together with the European Parliament Rapporteur on Türkiye, Ria Oomen-Ruijten.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met also with László Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion; and Stefan Füle, Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy. Çavuşoğlu finally came together with Kristalina Georgieva, Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also received Asein Isaev, Chargé d'affaires; and Dr. Jyldyz Sarybaeva, First Counsellor of Kyrgyzstan Permanent Delegation.
