Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Receives Norwegian Ambassador to Türkiye Janis Björn Kanavin

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu received Norwegian Ambassador to Türkiye, Janis Bjorn Kanavin on January 20, 2014. During the meeting, Çavuşoğlu stated that Türkiye has always fullfilled its responsibilities to enter the EU determinedly and will continue to do so. Minister Çavuşoğlu also added that Norway has fully supported Türkiye's EU membership process, despite not being a member of the EU.

Minister Çavuşoğlu will accompany Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his visit to Brussels this week. Çavuşoğlu said that they would discuss opening new EU accession chapters and the obstacles to their opening during their visit to Brussels.
