Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Attended Closing Ceremony of Parliamentary Exchange and Dialogue Project
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu participated in the closing ceremony of “Parliamentary Exchange and Dialogue Project” and made a speech.
Cemil Çiçek, President of Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tekelioğlu, President of the EU Harmonization Committee and Project Leader and Bela Szombati, Chargé d'Affaires, Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye also delivered their speeches during the closing ceremony.
In his speech, Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed the importance of civil society dialogue in order to remove the prejudices. Minister Çavuşoğlu added that, Ministry for EU Affairs is planning to implement a new communication strategy towards the EU public in the near future. Underlining the importance of the project, Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized the significance of the parliamentary dialogue about gender equality, prevention of violence against women and child abuse subjects.
President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Mr. Cemil Çiçek stated that the project which aimed to increase the dialogue between the parliamentarians succeeded by building new dialogue channels among the nations.
