Financial Cooperation Coordination Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Egemen Bağış

The 5th meeting of the Financial Cooperation Coordination Board (FCCB), which was established to monitor and to assess the overall functioning of Türkiye – EU financial cooperation in accordance with the Prime Ministry Circular No.2011/15, was conducted on 10 December 2013 at the Ministry for EU Affairs under the chairmanship of the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mr. Egemen BAĞIŞ.

High level representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Central Finance and Contracts Unit, and Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution participated in the meeting that was hosted by the Ministry for EU Affairs as the responsible institutions for the utilization of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) funds in compliance with Türkiye's EU accession goals.

In the meeting, general assessments were made concerning the first period of IPA (2007-2013) to be finalized by 31 December 2013 and the preparations for the second period of IPA that will cover 2014-2020 were addressed.

The Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mr. Egemen BAĞIŞ highlighted his confidence that all institutions would do their best for ensuring effective and efficient utilization of EU funds to contribute to the Türkiye's EU accession process as determined as the previous period.
