Egemen Bağış Hosts Farewell Lunch in Honor of Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış hosted a farewell lunch in honor of Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye on October 22, 2013 in Ankara. Speaking at the farewell lunch, Minister Bağış expressed his sincere thanks to Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert for his considerable contributions in Türkiye-EU relations.
Welcoming the decision of the General Affairs Council to open Chapter 22 (Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments) in Türkiye’s EU accession negotiations, Minister Bağış reiterated the call for opening the Chapters 23 and 24 to negotiations soon.
