Egemen Bağış’s Visit to Greece

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen paid an official visit to Greece on October 7-9, 2013. On the first day of his visit, Minister Bağış met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece, Dimitris Kurkulas in Athens.

After the meeting Minister Bağış attended the conference entitled  “Mediterranean Luxury Travel Summit 2013” and made a speech themed "Cooperation in the Region".

Afterwards, Minister Bağış met with the Tourism Minister of Greece, Olga Kefaloyanni.

Minister Bağış also met with the State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Greece, Dimitrios Stamatis and the Minister of National Defence of Greece, Dimitris Kurkulas.

On October 8, 2013 Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış visited the Turkish Embassy in Athens and met with the Turkish press members.

After the meeting Minister Bağış visited the General Consulate in Thessaloniki and the Atatürk House Museum. Then, Minister Bağış met with the Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, Theodoros Karaoglou. During his visit, Minister Bağış also met with the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Yiannis Boutaris.

On October 9, 2013, Minister Bağış paid a visit to the Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şerif. Subsequently, after delivering a speech at the Turkish Youth Union in Komotini, Minister Bağış visited the Mufti of Xanthi, Ahmet Mete.

After the meting Minister Bağış visited the Xanthi Turkish Union and held a meting with the minority press members at the General Consulate in Komotini.
