Egemen Bağış’s Visit to Lithuania

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış paid a visit to Lithuania on September 10-12, 2013. In the first day of his official visit to Lithuania, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış participated in the Tanini Trio Concert ve Reception organized by the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius on the occasion of Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. After the reception, Minister Bağış attended the dinner hosted by the Vilnius Ambassador Akın Algan in his honour.

On September 11, 2013, Minister Bağış firstly paid a visit to the European Institute for Gender Equality.

After the visit, Minister Bağış was received by the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite. Minister Bağış then met with the Vice President of the Lithuanian Parliament and Chairman of the Committee for European Affairs, Gedminas Kirkilas. Afterwards, Minister Bağış attended the informal dinner organized within the scope of COELA meeting.

On September 12, 2013, Minister Bağış firstly made a presentation within the framework of the COELA meeting.

After the presentation, Minister Bağış received the winners of the “2013 EU Story-Writing Competition” organised by the European Union Delegation to Türkiye.

At last, after participating in the lunch organized within the scope of the  COELA meeting,Minister Bağış met with the Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Linas Linkevičius.
