Civil Society Dialogue –Next Steps National Conference

With the aim of an evaluation of the endaevors in last decade towards establishing and developing a strong dialogue between the civil societies of Türkiye  and EU Member States, the National Conference on “Civil Society Dialogue –Next Steps” was held in Sabancı Museum on 28 June 2013,  with the participation of Ministry for EU Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Dr. Mehmet CANGİR, the Head of the Financial Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation Mr. Erwan MARTEIL and the Director Project Implementation of MEUA Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN as well as over 200 civil society actors from various platfoms.

The opening speeches of the conference were made by the Ministry for EU Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Dr. Mehmet CANGİR and the Head of the Financial Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation Mr. Erwan MARTEIL.  In the conference, civil society representatives and the experts’  perceptions and views were discussed  on the basis of strengthening and establishing better ties between EU and Turkish communities. Also,  the outcomes of the works on “Identifying Further EU – Türkiye Civil Society Dialogue Priorities” was shared with the civil society actors by way of the presentation of the Director of the Project Implementation of MEUA Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN. The conference ended with the Q & A session.
