Egemen Bağış’s Visit to France
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış paid a visit to France on June 11-12, 2013. In the first day of his visit in Paris, Minister Bağış participated in the dinner hosted by the General Secretariat of EXPO 2020 İzmir.
Within the scope of his visit on June 12, 2013, Minister Bağış met first with Thierry Repentin, French Minister Delegate for European Affairs over breakfast.
Minister Bağış then attended the 153rd International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) General Assembly where Turkish delegation, headed by Minister Bağış held presentations for İzmir's candidacy to host EXPO 2020.
Following the General Assembly meeting, Minister Bağış delivered a speech titled “What’s next in Türkiye-EU relations: A fresh start” in a conference organized by European-American Press Club.
Minister Bağış then attended Antalya 2016 EXPO presentation and EXPO 2020 Izmir press conference.
