Istanbul Conference of Ministry for EU Affairs, “Rethinking Global Challenges: Constructing a Common Future for Türkiye and the EU” was held in İstanbul
Istanbul Conference of Ministry for EU Affairs, “Rethinking Global Challenges: Constructing a Common Future for Türkiye and the EU” hosted by Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış, was held on 6-8 June 2013 in Istanbul.
The opening ceremony of the Conference was honoured by the participation of our Prime Minister. Leaders from various European countries, politicians, academicians, senior bureaucrats, officials from European Commission and EU Council, as well as representatives from civil society, think-tanks, media and business participated to the conference.
Conference continued 2 days and a total number of 1300 people took part to the Conference. In the conference 4 panels, “Global Economic Challenges and Prospects”, “Reconciling Democracy and Security in the Age of Globalization”, “Rethinking European Integration” and “How the Changes in Global Governance Shape Türkiye-EU Relations” was held.
