Erensya Summit Meeting

Second Summit of the Erensya Congress, organised through the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain and the Sepharadic Center, and Cervantes Institute is held in İstanbul between 3-7 June 2013.

Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry for European Union Affairs F.H. Burak Erdenir, delivered the opening speech of the Summit which aims at developing relations among different communities, encouraging the change and cooperation in order to provide further understanding on cultural richness and language.

Deputy Undersecretary F.H. Burak Erdenir stressed that crucial steps have been taken regarding citizens with different faiths and within this framework, a dialogue mechanism was established under the coordination of Ministry for European Union Affairs. In addition, Mr Erdenir mentioned the significance of recent restitution of immovable properties belonging to community foundations and thanked to the Jewish community for their cooperation.
