Egemen Bağış Attended a Reception on the occasion of Europe Day

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış attended a reception on the occasion of 9 May Europe Day. In his address at the reception, Bagis stated that Türkiye has very crucial role in the EU and added "Türkiye have transformed EU's continental peace project into a global one." In his talk, Bağış also mentioned that "I'm enthusiastic today. After a three year gap, we are getting ready to open a new chapter before the end of the Irish presidency, the chapter of regional policy, a chapter which emphasizes closing the gap among different regions of our country, a chapter that very much enlighten the solution process that we all focused on" Bağış completed his remarks by sending a message to the EU about the current economic crisis: "Don't worry about the economic crisis, we are coming there to rescue!" and mentioned Türkiye and EU will make a great match together.
