Euroskills II Project has been completed

“The Training for Civil Servants Participating in the EU Negotiations Process” Project (Euroskills II) implemented by the Ministry for European Union Affairs in partnership with the British Council has been successfully completed. Within the framework of the project, all participants in all three groups attended trainings on the EU Negotiation Skills and the Communication and Presentation Skills on 13 – 15 March 2013, 3 – 5 March 2013 and 8 – 10 April 2013.  

Within the framework of the project, participants delivered presentations on 30 April 2013 by putting their training related acquisitions into practice. After the workshop, a certificate ceremony was held on the same day with the presence of the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mr. Egemen BAĞIŞ, British Council Director Türkiye Ms. Margaret JACK, Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs Ambassador Mr. Haluk ILICAK, British Council Deputy Director Türkiye Ms. Chloe EWING, Director of Civil Society, Communication and Culture Directorate Mr. İbrahim BAYRAM and British Council Regional Business Development Manager Ms. Sheila LUMSDEN.

In the certificate ceremony, Egemen BAĞIŞ emphasized that the Project, which was successfully implemented during the years 2006-2008 with the aim of supporting and developing the professional skills of civil servants working closely on the Türkiye’s EU accession process, has been once more implemented by the Ministry for EU Affairs in cooperation with the British Council. Bağış stated: “As the Minister for EU Affairs, we have the pleasure to contribute to the training of public officials in the field of Communication and Presentation as well as EU Accession Negotiation within the scope of Euroskills II Project”.

A total of 65 participants from the EU Coordination and technical departments of the Ministry for EU Affairs, Ministry for Development, Ministry for Family and Social Policy, and Prime Ministry Presidency for Turks Abroad and Relative Communities, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), Ministry of National Education, Republic of Türkiye Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) and Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Culture and Tourism received the Euroskills II training.
