Egemen Bağış Attended to the Meeting of the Türkiye- EU Joint Parliamentary Committee
Meeting of the Türkiye- EU Joint Parliamentary Committee is being held in Ankara, hosted by Turkish Grand National Assembly on February 14-15, 2013. Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış honored in the opening session themed “Türkiye-EU Relations: The State of Play in the Accession Negotiations”. Ambassador of Ireland Kenneth Thompson on behalf of EU Presidency and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye Jean-Maurice Ripert representing European Commission also attended the mentioned session.
On the second session following the lunch given by Egemen Bağış in honor of participants, “New Constitution in the Frame of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms” topic will be discussed with the participation of Ahmet İyimaya, Head of the Committee on Justice and members of Constitution Conciliation Committee.
Meeting of the EU-Türkiye Joint Parliamentary Committee will be concluded on February 15, 2013, with the presentation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu on “The Situation in Syria and its Effects on Türkiye and EU”.
