Second Regional Seminar of “Turkish Local Media On The EU Path” Project in Balıkesir

The second regional seminar of the “Turkish Local Media On The EU Path” Project takes place in Balıkesir between January 30-31, 2013. Opening speeches of the seminar were delivered by Rafe Courage, Deputy Consul General, UK Consulate in İstanbul, Deputy Undersecretary of Minister for EU Affairs, Dr. F.H. Burak Erdenir and Selda Dural, Acting Governor of Balıkesir.

Deputy Undersecretary of Minister for EU Affairs, Dr. F.H. Burak Erdenir stated in his speech that "Turkish Local Media on the EU Path" project would be an opportunity for local media  to take responsibility through the Türkiye’s accesion process to the EU. 

The seminar, organized with the participation of the local media representatives from the cities of Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, İstanbul, İzmir, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Manisa, Sakarya, Tekirdağ and Yalova, will last for two days. Within the scope of the seminar, attendees are provided information to follow Türkiye's EU accession process more consciously and closely.
