31th Türkiye-EU Joint Advisory Committee Meeting

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış participated in the opening session of the 31th Türkiye-EU Joint Advisory Committee Meeting held on December 20, 2012. President of the Union of Chambers and  Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye Rifat Hicarcıklıoğlu, President of the European Economic and Social Committee Staffan Nilsson, Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye Bela Szombati, Co-Chairs of the Türkiye-EU Joint Advisory Committee Meeting Mustafa Kumlu and Arno Metzler also joined the meeting.

In his speech, Minister Bağış underlined the fact that 14 negotiation chapters were vetod because of issues about Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and emphasized the need for removal of the embargo on Northern Cyprus.
