Egemen Bağış’s Strasbourg Visit
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış and his accompanying delegation made an official visit to Strasbourg on November 20, 2012. Egemen Bağış met with president of the Ad Hoc Delegation for the Observation of the Trials of Journalists in Türkiye Jaroslaw Walesa and Members Michale Cashman and Barbara Matera. Within the context of his contacts with the European Parliament (EP), Minister Bağış held a meeting with leader of the EP’s Socialist Democrat Group Hannes Swoboda.
Within the framework of his Strasbourg visit, Egemen Bağış also met with European Commissioner Responsible for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle, Commissioner Responsible for Internal Affairs Cecilia Malmström and EP’s rapporteur on Türkiye Ria Oomen-Ruijten.
