The Joint Monitoring Committee Meeting of Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross Border Cooperation Programme Was Held

The Joint Monitoring Committee meeting of Bulgaria-Türkiye IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme was held on 13 July 2012 in İğneada/Kırklareeli that takes place in the Programme area. The meeting followed a technical preparatory session that was held the day before and was co-chaired by Mr. Nikolay Nankov, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of Bulgaria and M. Süreyya Süner, Director of Financial Cooperation Directorate of Ministry for European Union Affairs of Türkiye. In line with its agenda the meeting enabled the parties to assess various aspects of the Programme.

In the meeting, representatives of Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works informed the participants about the results of administrative, qualitative and technical assessment conducted before.. Following the introduction of the projects those scored above a certain threshold the list of the projects approved by the Committee. Besides, in the margins of the agenda, presentations by Turkish and Bulgarian parties on the current situation of the Programme in both sides of the Programme area were made
