Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış received the Governor of Izmir M. Cahit Kıraç and the Mayor of Izmir Municipality Aziz Kocaoğlu in his office in Istanbul to talk about the candidacy of Izmir for EXPO 2020. Bağış, during the meeting, underlined that Izmir has been a candidate for EXPO for 20 years and is insistent on hosting EXPO 2020.
