Donor Coordination Meeting was held

A Donor Coordination meeting was held on 23rd of May at the Ministry for EU Affairs chaired by Undersecretary Mr. Ahmet YÜCEL with the attendance of officials from the Ministry, international financial institutions (IFI), EU Delegation to Türkiye, Transition Assistance and Institution Building Committee members and relevant institutions of the sectors for which sector alignment strategies have been drafted.

After the introduction of the sector alignment strategies on Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, Migration Management and Borders, Energy, Agriculture and Rural Development by the Ministry, the representatives of international financing institutions informed the participants about their activities in Türkiye, the sectors they are planning to focus in the forthcoming years and possible cooperation areas.

The importance of the coordination meetings towards a more harmonized financial assistance in the scope of the alignment to EU Acquis was emphasized by all participants and further meetings were decided to be held in the upcoming period. In addition to all-inclusive meetings covering all relevant sectors, sector-based meetings have been foreseen in order to discuss potential cooperation areas in a more detailed way.
