“Certified Agriculture in Fruits and Greenhouses" Project Final Meeting

Final meeting of "Certified Agriculture in Fruits and Greenhouses ", which was granted within the framework of Civil Society Dialogue-II - Fisheries and Agriculture Component, was held on 15 February 2012 at Simav/Kütahya.

At the meeting in which, District Governor of Simav, Mayor of Simav and many guests attended, details and the outputs of the project and its importance regarding the Türkiye-EU Civil Society Dialogue were explained by the head of the board of directors of Simav Chamber Of Commerce and Industry. On behalf of the Ministry for EU Affairs, Murat BAŞER, Expert from Directorate of Project Implementation attended to the final meeting.

Within the context of "Certified Agriculture in Fruits and Greenhouses" Project, a greenhouse was selected and modernized, greenhouse farmers were trained, about 1000 farmers engaged with fruit growing received one-day trainings on the importance and procedures of certified agriculture and selected greenhouse farmers and fruit producers were taken to  Italy to see best practices.
