Opening Ceremony of "Let's Overcome Obstacles and Compete in Employment Project"

The opening ceremony of the "Let's Overcome Obstacles and Compete in Employment Project" that is being implemented by the District Governorship of Ataþehir was held at Ataþehir Zübeyde Hanım Öğretmenevi on January 22, 2012 with the participation of H.E Egemen BAÐIÞ, Minister for European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator; H.E Hüseyin Avni MUTLU, Governor of Istanbul and H.E Nurcan BAÇ, rector of Yeditepe University.

The project has been granted 493.707, 09 TL financial assistance from the İstanbul Development Agency.  The project partners are the Ataþehir District Directorate of National Education, the İstanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and Yeditepe University. Associates of the project are the Ataþehir Disabled Persons Solidarity Association and the Municipality of Ataþehir.

The implementation of the project has started on 1 January 2012 and the project duration is 12 months. The objective of the project is to provide disabled persons, aged between 18-40, with various occupational training and education.

In his speech, H.E. Egemen BAÐIÞ, referred to  almost 10 million disabled persons living in Türkiye and emphasized the importance of awareness of the sensitivities of  persons with disabilities.
