Ninth Regional Seminar of "Turkish Local Media on the EU Path" Project in Muğla

The project titled "Turkish Local Media on the EU Path" is executed by the Ministry for EU Affairs under the auspices of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ. Project is also supported by the British Embassy in Ankara. The ninth regional informational seminar of the project takes place in Muğla between January 10-11, 2012.
Minister Bağıþ who conveyed a message for the opening of the seminar stated that Türkiye is capable of reaching EU standards on press freedom. Opening speeches of the seminar were delivered by Peter Spoor, Counsellor of the British Embassy, Dr. F.H.Burak Erdenir, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry For EU Affairs and Fatih Þahin, Governor of Muğla.

The seminar organized with the participation of the local media representatives from the cities of Muğla, Aydın, Antalya, Denizli, Burdur and Isparta will last for two days. The participants would be informed about Türkiye's EU accession process and the daily effects of the studies conducted within this process. Also they will obtain information about the projects and programs directed for the media. Within the scope of the seminar, attendees are provided information to follow Türkiye's EU accession process more consciously and closely.
