Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bağış hosted members of JPC and EU Harmonization Committee

Hosted by the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ, a working meal was held at Ministry for EU Affairs in the honour of the members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee and of the EU Harmonisation Committee of Turkish Parliamentary General Assembly. Bağıþ, declared during his opening remarks, that the EU membership path passed through the TGNA. Expressing that all parliamentarians, Committee members at first, who spend efforts on this path, had great contribution on Türkiye's reform process. Bağıþ said that those reforms are at the core of the EU process which require the cooperative work of both government and opposition parties. Bağıþ also emphasized that all kind of obstacles that Türkiye faced within the process would be overcomed cooperatively. Then the latest developments in Türkiye-EU relations were evaluated by the Committee members.
