Fatih HASDEMİR, Deputy Undersecretary of MEU Delivers Speech on the UN General Assembly

Fatih HASDEMİR, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs attended the meeting in New York on December 5, 2011, on the occasion of the 10. Anniversary of "International Volunteering Year" and the announcement of the situation report on Voluntering in the World.

HASDEMİR making a speech on behalf of the Center for the EU Education and Youth Programmes gave a report on the studies that have been realized in Türkiye and stated that Türkiye ranks first in the number of volunteers among 33 European States. HASDEMİR also mentioned that the report had been translated into Turkish and disseminated by the NGO's and volunteers, and he also expressed his pleasure at the Project Coordinator's being a Turkish citizen and holding the kick-off meeting on the Situation Report in İstanbul.
