Egemen Bağış Met with the Businessmen from İzmir

The Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Mr. Egemen Bağıþ met with Mr. Ender Yorgancilar, the chairman of Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) and the chamber members within its İzmir visit program.    

Mr. Egemen Bağıþ had a meeting with the EBSO members regarding the European Union accession process. Then Mr. Egemen Bağıþ said referring to the Turkish economy "During the crisis experienced 10 years ago, you have seen the debt increase in one night, you have also seen the devaluation and you have considered the businessman who went bankrupt in one night as the industrialists of this country".    

Mr. Egemen Bağıþ stated that Türkiye was becoming more confident and stable. Then Mr. Egemen Bağıþ added "Türkiye is growing and developing. With your contribution, Türkiye will grow more and will be more developed ".

In addition, the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Mr. Egemen Bağıþ informed EBSO members about the messages conveyed to the Europeans on behalf of Türkiye. "As we become stronger, EU will be eager to remove visas. And as Türkiye is aware of its power, EU also becomes aware of our power", he added.  Then Mr. Egemen Bağıþ emphasized that the state and the industrialists should work together in the European Union accession process.

After the meeting with the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Mr. Egemen Bağıþ met with Association of Aegean Businessmen and Industrialists (ESİAD). In the meeting, Mr. Egemen Bağıþ had the opportunity to exchange opinions with the board of the association, Mr. Bülent Akgerman and its delegation about Türkiye's EU accession process.
