Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağış Visited Brussels
Within the framework of his Brussels visit on November 29-30, 2011, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ firstly made a speech in the breakfast policy briefing jointly organized by the European Policy Center (EPC) and TUSKON. After attending the second session of the 67th Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting, Minister Bağıþ made a short interview with Stefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy.
While meeting with the European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor, Minister Bağıþ also made a visit to the Alevi Cultural Center located in Anvers, Belgium and accompanied the traditional fast-breaking dinner in Muharrem Month. The same day Minister Bağıþ attended the "TÜRKSOY Art Exhibition" organized jointly by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) and Yunus Emre Cultural Center.
After making a press meeting with the international press on November 30, 2011; Minister Bağıþ met with the President of European Economic and Social Committee Staffan Nilsson and with the President of the Committee of the Regions Mercedes Bresso.
Before the end of his official visit in Brussels, Bağıþ lastly visited the Federation of Active Association of Belgium (FEDACTIO) and attended the handover ceremony of the İstanbul 2012 European Capital of Sport.
