Representatives of the Governorships of Bingöl and Eskişehir Visited the Ministry for EU Affairs
The projects titled "Eskiþehir Preparing for the EU" and "Island City Swims Towards the EU" have been granted under the "Provinces Preparing for the EU Programme" . Within the framework of these projects, the representatives from the EU Offices of the Governorships of Bingöl and Eskiþehir payed an official visit to the Ministry for EU Affairs, Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye and Central Finance & Contract Unit on 28 October 2011.
Hilal Yıldır, Coordinator of the Directorate of Project Implementation of the Ministry for EU Affairs made a presentation on "EU-Türkiye Negotiation Process". Following Ms. Yıldır's presentation, Director of Project Implementation, Bülent OZCAN held a consultation with the representatives on the EU activities at local level.
Subsequent to the meeting at the Ministry for EU Affairs, the representatives visited the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye. Counsellor Michael Miller, Head of Political Affairs and Selda Paydak and Ebru Taþkın, Press and Information Managers, informed the representatives on the roles and activities of the EUD.
The representatives finally visited the Central Finance & Contract Unit (CFCU). Mehmet Fatih Yıldız made a speech on the role of the CFCU within the program and projects funded by the European Union. Following his speech Mr. Yıldız answered the questions of the representatives.
