2012 Budget of the Ministry for EU Affairs is Negotiated at the Plan and Budget Committee
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ presented 2012 budget of Ministry for European Union Affairs at the Plan and Budget Committee of Turkish Grand National Assembly. Prior to accepting of the budgets, Egemen Bağıþ responded the parliamentarians' questions regarding the 2012 budget of Ministry for European Union. Undersecretary of Ministry for EU Affairs Ambassador Haluk Ilıcak also attented in the negotiations.
Bağıþ stated that the EU membership target has been a state policy for a time period of more than fifty years and constitutes the most vital part of Türkiye's vision of defending and embracing universal values. Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ also underlined that transformation of the Secretariat General for European Union Affairs into a full-fledged Ministry for EU Affairs is the evident way to express Türkiye's commitment to the process of EU membership.
